Gil was great friend and advisor to me throughout my career. He and I became friends back in the days when floppy disks were state of the art. He stuck with me as my good friend through several difficult job changes, always providing perspective and wisdom. But the man never charged enough for his design work... I could call him on a Sunday night at 9:30 and he’d have my project done the next day. He always made me a priority and I have never found that in any of the designers I’ve worked with through the years. Gil was so very talented indeed. He helped me design large format art that became a standard for others in the industry and soon everyone was trying to copy his work. The was meticulous and honest and loyal. He was a man with a very kind heart. I am very sad to learn that he is gone. Each year when I travel to NY a for the summer I like to spend a full day with him drinking coffee , laughing and talking about all sorts of odd subjects. I enjoyed his company greatly. He will always be missed. He was a high-quality friend and a good man.

May you all find peace and comfort in your memories of Gilbert and your shared love. I loved him as a great & caring friend in HS. He was a fantastic person. One great memory I carry is how at WCS school dances, we would always dance to 'Smoke on the Water'. This song instantly takes me back to the conversations & laughter we shared. Plus the great dancing we did!

Gil was perhaps the best friend a co-worker could have. He was generous with his knowledge and encouragement. He was a friend even after my retirement. We would often speak of spiritual things, movies, friends, life... I believe he was a brave and very moral person. I will so miss him, as I am sure many of us will. On to the next adventure Gil!

Gib I know your in heaven. If the Lord allows I hope he lets you see this note. I remember hiking Hackensack riding our ten speeds and having conversations about the Lord behind the Grand Union in the woods. Those were good times. We were best friends since I was 12 years old and even though we hadn’t seen each other for awhile when we did we picked up our conversations where we left off as if no years had passed by.
