Erika excitedly joined Alexander Funeral Home in November 2021. She grew up and lived in Warrensburg for 28 years before moving to Queensbury and eventually settling in Gansevoort, NY with her husband Ken and dog Franklin.

Erika previously worked for Hudson Headwaters Health Network as the Ryan White HIV Program Director for many years. During COVID, Erika decided to shift her work career back into the field of death, dying and bereavement, her true calling. She has previously worked for High Peaks Hospice as their Bereavement Coordinator. So being able to work in the Funeral Home and get back to her passion is a dream.

Erika received her Bereavement Certification from Maria College in 2009. In March of 2023 she received her End-of-Life Doula Professional Certification from the University of Vermont. She has a passion for working with people at end-of-life and assisting their loved ones in their bereavement journey.

She is happy to be back in her hometown assisting John and Dave with a variety of tasks. You will find her answering your phone calls and emails in the office, sitting with Dave during pre-arrangements and arrangements and welcoming you into the funeral home for calling hours. Executing the type of service your loved one requested, whether it’s writing an obituary, customizing prayer cards and video tributes to having the honor of saying words at the memorial service is a true gift.
