Gigi, it was sad to learn the news.
From the "NASCAR" gang, New Hampshire chapter - it was always a trip having Joey around, from the first time he handed us "Hors d'oeuvres", to setting out traffic cones around our campers to keep others away.
He will be missed.

My condolences to the family. I have always considered myself extended family, and I wish I could be there now. It saddens me that I will no longer see Joe in person, but having know him for 40 years, he definetly enriched my life and made me a better person. So many storys, and such good times. My special time of year was the Thanksgivings that we spent together here in Florida. Joe could fill in a year in one night. We laughed and drank and ate till we burst. I love you all and there is no way I would have seen my brother Joe in pain. I know he is truly riding with the wind. Everytime I ride he will be with me. Thank you Joe Nemec Sr for being my friend, brother, family. I will be sad but he will always be a part of me. I will smile everytime I think of him which will be daily. My deepest sympathys to the Family. I will always be a part of your family, and will be there when you need me. Rick Combs

Joe was a-one-of-a-kind person.
I loved to check out the store in Saratoga, especially for the special seeds that no one else had.
Every Christmas his large bulbs for paper white narcissus were expected by family members and he always had them for me. How many people keep track of one item for one customer in this day? Joe did. Have missed visiting since he closed.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

"Awwww Joe -- Joe -- say it ain't so" I can't even remember the last time I saw you -- but Saratoga has not been the same without you on the sidewalk in front of the grain store making someone wet their pants with laughter while you load their cars with giant bags of dog food, lawn fertilizer and bags of pigs ears. I only know you brought a lot of color and good humor to our little downtown -- and it hasn't been the same without you. I will remember you always with a smile you silly man--- and what a great dad and husband you were. Gigi my heart goes out to you. I saw my mother go through this with my dad at 52 and I too went through it 2 yrs ago and lost my beau of 10 yrs. I so feel the pain you are experiencing. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and the children and know with certainty he will be in your ear all the time-- and he will make you laugh again-- trust in that. i will think of him often-- and wish you and your family peace.
ps Joe you would have loved my new 6lb dog whom I dress in sequined Barbie clothes! -- oh what fun you would have making jokes about me now! Ohhhh I loved ya' Joe! always will!
