Obituary of Cornelius P. Tully

Lake George: Cornelius P. Tully, 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness. Cornelius was born on November 13, 1935 in Woodside, Queens, New York. He was raised in Woodside where he also lived most of his adult life until after retirement when he relocated to his beloved summer home in Lake George, New York. He was predeceased by his parents, Helen and John Tully, his brother John, his wife Kathleen, as well as their daughter, Jerilyn Faber and his brother Daniel. He was also predeceased by Maureen Hogan, his lifelong companion. He is survived by his sister in law - Grace Tully, nine nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, as well as many loving and devoted cousins. He had a long and distinguished banking career at Citibank in New York City. He held many and varied position and retired as a Vice President of retail banking. In life, Cornelius was a fun loving, kind and beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am, Monday, September 24 at Sacred Heart RC Church, 51 Mohican St., Lake George with the Rev. Joseph Busch officiating. A committal service with full military honors will follow at 1:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
