Obituary of David C. Loomis

North Creek: David C. Loomis, 48, of Bird Pond Road, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer. Born August 17, 1965 in Glens Falls he was the son of Herbert “Bucky” and Joan (Walden) Loomis of North Creek. He was a graduate of Johnsburg Central School. David was employed by many area carpentry and construction companies. Besides his parents, David is survived by his daughter; Cheyanne Loomis, a brother, Herbert J. Loomis and his wife, Deborah of North Creek; a sister, Debby Gonyo and her husband, Timothy of Queensbury. Friends may call on David’s family from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4 pm, following the visitation, Tuesday at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, 3802 Main St., Warrensburg, with Fr. Anthony Childs, pastor of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in South Glens Falls, officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in David’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
