Obituary of Thomas L. Kill

Johnsburg:
Thomas L. Kill, 89, formerly of Oven Mountain Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Haynes House of Hope in Granville following a long illness.
Born October 20, 1929 in Hudson Falls, he was the son of the late Clyde and Lillian (DeVoe) Kill.
He graduated from Hudson Falls High School, Class of 1948 and shortly after, married Eunice Crandall on January 29, 1949.
He enlisted in the Army National Guard and proudly served his country for 20 years and honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
He was a dedicated employee at Sandy Hill Iron and Brass for 45 years, retiring as a purchasing agent in 1992.
His family meant everything to him. In his free time, he could be found spending time with his children, grandchildren, and many foster children. Tom loved to travel, hunt, fish, camping, whittling, woodworking, and attending local craft shows. He was an excellent carpenter and hand built his two homes with the help of family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by infant sister, Catherine and siblings, Robert Kill, Clyde Kill, and Sharon Kelleher.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Eunice Kill of Johnsburg; his children, Kathy Roberts and her fiancé, John of British Colombia, Connie Fuller of Johnsburg, Karen Kill and her wife, Tammy Taylor of Hudson Falls, Judy Stahl and her husband, Pat of ME, Linda Combs of Queensbury, Paul Kill and his wife, Elaine of RI, Larry Kill and his wife, Elisabeth of NH, Terri-Lynn Newell-Kill and her husband, Kip of NC, Pam Richichi and her companion, Don of Queensbury, Josette Kill and her husband, Stacey of Johnsburg, Travis Sharp and his fiancé, Renee of Ticonderoga; his brother, Gene Kill of Hudson Falls; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call on Tom’s family from 4 to 6 pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Thursday, at St. James RC Church, Main St., North Creek.
Rite of Committal will be conducted in the spring in Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
