Warrensburg:
Donald C. Haak, 71 of Hudson Street, went to the house of the Lord, on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at his home, following a long illness, with his beloved wife at his side.
Born March 25, 1935 in Dolgeville, he was the son of the late William and Ethel (Bishop) Haak.
Donald moved around a lot as a child with his family, but loved living in the Speculator area the most.
He married Marjorie Orr in 1959 in Warrensburg and together they had three children.
Donald was a truck driver for many years, working for Brown and Son Lumber Co. in Pottersville before becoming disabled.
He loved to do carpentry work, tending to his garden, boating, fishing and spending time with his family.
Donald served his country from 1957 to 1959 in the US Army, stationed in Germany.
Besides his parents, his two brothers, Albert and William have both predeceased him.
He leaves behind his wife, Marjorie of 46 years; his three children, Mary Kennedy and her husband, John of Warrensburg, William Haak of Pottersville, Sally Feihel and her husband, Edward of Athol; his two grandchildren, for which he was very proud of, William Haak Jr. of Pottersville and Casandra Carleton of Warrensburg; three sisters, Jane Brown and her husband, Robert of Stillwater, Joan Morrison and her husband, Calvin of Speculator, Betty Reynolds and her husband, Charles of Warrensburg; one brother, Richard Haak and his wife, Betty of St. Johnsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Donald’s family from 2-4 pm Saturday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 4 pm Saturday with the Rev. Todd Falk, Pastor of the Wilton Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will take place in the Warrensburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
