Obituary of Andrew J. Bauridel

Adirondack: Andrew J. Bauridel, 80, of Shaw Hill Rd., passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Albany Medical Center. Born May 6, 1933 in Rochester, NY he was the son of the late Mable (Beardsley) Bauridel Hess. For many years, Andrew was the chauffer and the family manager of the East Avenue Helen Rider Family Estate in Rochester, NY. One of Ande’s achievements was his position as secretary to the world renowned Medium, Arthur Ford. As a result, he was privileged to meet Harry Houdini, and several other well known personalities. Many people will remember Ande for his comforting mediumship on their behalf. He was a lifelong member of the Valley Simes Inspiration Lodge 109 Free & Accepted Masons in Rochester. Ande was a spiritual scholar who enjoyed research and reading to expand his knowledge. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half brother, James Hess. Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Edna Trumble of Adirondack; they married at Edgar Cayce Chapel in Virginia Beach, VA; his children, Kim Leffler and her husband, Ron of Varysburg; Donna Bauridel of Lackawanna, NY; Russell Bauridel and his wife, Darla of Navarre, FL; his step-children, Edward Trumble and his wife, Sandra of Webster, NY; Bobbiann Trumble-Gresov of Dahlonega, GA; his grandchildren, John, Zebulon and Rebecca Leffler; Caylee, Christian, Joseph Andrew, and Jenna Bauridel; his step-grandchildren, Michelle Trumble and Ian C. G. Gresov; 11 great-grandchildren and half brother, Glenwood Hess of Shortsville, NY; as well as two nieces, Tammy and Heidi, both of Canada; his nephews, Troy, Chad, Eric, James, and William; as well as several great-nieces and nephews. At Ande’s request there will be no calling hours scheduled. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2 pm, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Underwood Cemetery in Adirondack. Ande’s wishes were for the celebration to continue at his home following the committal service. Family and friends that wish to attend are encouraged to gather at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg at 1 pm to partake in the funeral procession to Ande’s final place of rest.
