Bakers Mills: Donna Faye Hoag, 59, of Bartman Road, went into the arms of the Lord, Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born August 18, 1949 in Bakers Mills, Donna was the youngest of four. She was the daughter of Mulvena (Yennard) Russell of Bakers Mills, and the late Ralph Russell. She was well known for her caring nature, and for her love of animals. She was a special person, whether she was making friends or just talking to someone, her sunny personality could draw anyone in. She was employed for several years at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center until a crippling disability stopped her from working. Donna enjoyed life and all she did. She loved watching CSI, playing games on her computer, and putting together puzzles. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Ariel, who she loved very much. Besides her father, she is also predeceased by her brother, Nelson Russell. Survivors besides her mother, Mulvena Russell of Bakers Mills; include her son, Scott Hoag and his wife, Rowena along with their son, Ralph James Robert Carpio Hoag of Watervliet; her daughter, Julie Moffitt and her husband, Walter of Bakers Mills; her granddaughter, Ariel Moffitt; two sisters: Pearl Goodsell of Gansevoort and Audrey Halse of Watervliet; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Donna’s family from 5-7 pm, Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
