Warrensburg: Courtney M. Swinton, 18, of Stacy Street, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, February 20, 2010. Born November 15, 1991 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Evelyn (Baker) Swinton of Warrensburg and Kenneth Swinton also of Warrensburg. Courtney was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Warrensburg Central School. Courtney was known by her family and many close friends for her infectious fun loving and outgoing personality. She had many dreams and aspired for a career in modeling. Courtney always looked up to her older sister, Nicolle. She loved peace signs and would have the symbol on everything around her. She loved spending time with her fiancé, Eric Winter and her two dogs, Buddy and Roxy. Her paternal grandmother, Kate Swinton; uncles Danny DeSantis and Scott Dutcher; maternal great grandfather, Wilbur Baker and maternal great grandmother, Evelyn Baker have all predeceased her. Survivors besides her fiancé, include her mother and best friend, Evelyn Swinton and her companion, Ray Westfall of Warrensburg; her father, Ken Swinton and his wife, Paula of Warrensburg; her three sisters, Ashley Haskell of Saratoga Spring, Nicolle Swinton of Glens Falls, Shelby Keene of Albany; her maternal grandmother, Rose Baker and her fiancé, Ed of Warrensburg; nieces, Aleena Rose and Ariyanna; her aunt Julie; uncle Steve and cousins, Sarah, Tarah, Dani, Charlie, Brandon, Logan, Julia, Randy, and baby Alex. step sister and brothers, Megan, Jaymes and Derrick; and her best friend of 10 years, Ciera Bolton. Friends may call on Courtney’s family from 5-7 pm Friday evening, February 26th at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 7 pm Friday with the Rev. Meredith Vanderminden, Pastor of the Lake George First United Methodist Church officiating.
