Adirondack:
Ricky A. Morehouse, 56, of Valentine Pond Road, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 while helping a lifelong friend at his home.
Born June 20, 1960 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Orin and Cora (Monroe) Morehouse.
He was a 1979 graduate from North Warren Central School and then became an employee for the Elementary School he loved in Brant Lake.
Ricky was a family man, devoted to his wife and kids, but his love for his grandchildren was unwavering. He cherished being home, always with his loyal companion by his side.
An old soul, Ricky was often telling stories, lending an ear and offering sound advice. There was always a lesson to be learned, and he was sure to teach it. Old fashioned and strong willed, he never steered from his morals and beliefs. His tough love approach only affirmed what he stood for.
Always working with his hands, he was the hardest working man, never leaving a job unfinished. Ricky never turned down an opportunity to help anyone who may have needed it. He passed doing what he loved, surrounded by lifelong friends.
Once by our side. Always in our heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Nadine (Emlaw) Morehouse of Adirondack; his children: Ricky C. Morehouse, Jessica N. Zannini, Adam A. Morehouse and Travis L. Morehouse; his grandchildren, Jaxon “Jack” Zannini and Taylor Storm Morehouse, as well as several siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Ricky’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted privately at the convenience of his family.
