Eleanor Cave Hatch, 88, of Marcy Lane, passed away, Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness.
Born April 25, 1918 in canton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna (Persson) Cave.
Eleanor graduated with the 1935 class from the Dedham, MA High School. She went on to graduate with honors from the Burdett Secretarial School in Boston the following year.
She was a devoted and dedicated member of St. Barbara’s Episcopal Church in Newcomb and also served as the church organist and treasurer for 35 years.
Eleanor continued to study and learn the rest of her life. She was studying Swedish with classes in Long Lake last year.
Besides her parents, her brother, Eric F. Cave predeceased her.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years, Dexter C. Hatch of Newcomb; one niece and one nephew.
Memorial services will take place 10 am Saturday, Dec. 2 at St. Barbara’s Episcopal Church in Newcomb.
With keeping with Eleanor’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice in her memory.
