Obituary of Rea A. Roblee

Rea A. Roblee, 94, formerly of Main Street, passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Center in Fort Edward with her beloved family at her side.
Born June 4, 1921 in St. Cyrille, Canada, Rea was the daughter of Ernest and Alina (Belair) Allie.
She married Merrill “Peg” Roblee on June 25, 1942 and the couple enjoyed 66 wonderful years together before his passing on July 20, 2008.
For many years, Rea was a teacher’s aide at the Johnsburg Central School before retiring.
Her favorite pastimes included vacationing in Maine and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She and her husband Peg were faithful communicants of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Olmstedville.
Besides her husband, her daughter, Nancy Brown and son, Richard Roblee, siblings: Yvette, John, Fernand, Bernard, Roger, and Madeline have also predeceased her.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Judy Reid (Steve) of East Greenbush, and Kathy Hall (Dan) of Queensbury; granddaughters, Beth DuPont, Darlene Vaughan (Bruce), Carolyn Aulicino (Joe), and Abby Mowka; grandsons: Derek Brown, Jesse Reid (Alissa), Chad Hall and Danny Hall (Bri); 11 great- grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her brother, Rev. Stanley Allie of Wasilla, AK.
Friends may call on Rea’s family from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am, Thursday, at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Olmstedville, with the Rev. Philip Allen, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery, North Creek.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Olmstedville or the Johnsburg Central School, Dollars for Scholars program.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Fort Hudson Nursing Home for the wonderful care, compassion and friendship given to mom during her years there. We are grateful to all of you.
