Obituary of Thomas G. Fuller

North Creek: Thomas G. “Tinker” Fuller, 62, of Igerna Road, passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2009 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 30, 1946 in Johnsburg, he was the son of the late Leroy Fuller and Florence (Lathrop-Fuller) Kenyon. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country during Vietnam. Tom was the youngest of five children and a lifelong resident of the area. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. For over 20 years, Tom worked in the construction field with Contak Construction of Glens Falls. He also went on to manage the maintenance department with Adirondack Lodges for many years before retiring. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his two brothers, Ronald and Richard; and sister, Betty Arnold. Survivors include his six sons; Kelly, Keith, Kenny, Kevin, Tommy, and Terry, all of North Creek; his daughter, Shannon; Two daughters, Stephanie Fraude of Roxbury; Jennifer Sylvester of Norton Hill; his brother, Ralph of Texas; His first wife, Elma; his former wife of 31 years, Mary; his many grandchildren who he loved and adored, and had special “pet” names for each one including, “Baby Girl, Superman, Munchkin, Nate, and Kurt.” They all loved to come see Papa. He is also survived by many special friends. A memorial service to celebrate Tinker’s life will be conducted at 4 pm, Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Alexander Funeral Home, Inc., 4479 State Route 28, North River, with the Rev. Flossie Bates of High Peaks Hospice, officiating. Friends may call on Tom’s family one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the High Peaks Hospice for the outstanding care Tom recieved during his illness, and also the nurses on T2 of the Glens Falls Hospital, Debbie and Rachel.
