Obituary of Marion G. Pellerin

North Creek: Marion G. Pellerin, 90, passed away peacefully early Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Adirondack Tri-County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born March 12, 1924 in Sodom, Marion was a triplet with a sister, Marie and a brother, Murray born to the late Ray Sam and Susie Ann (Sawyer) Prouty. She married James V. Pellerin on December 21, 1940. The couple moved several times, living in Troy and Albany, before retiring to Plattsburgh. Marion had lived several years at White Water Manor before relocating to Adirondack Tri-County in 2008. Marion was employed as a cook in Albany before joining Montgomery Wards as an account clerk. She was also employed at Boardman’s, a department store in Albany before retiring. She loved to crochet, many of her beautiful tablecloths and bedspreads are still being used by friends and family. She was an avid reader, sometimes reading long into the night. Marion always had a smile and a joke for whoever she met, and what a candy eater she was; she always had a dish of candy for visitors to enjoy. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, James, a daughter, June, a son, Ronald, four brothers, Charles, Mark, Harold, and Murray, as well as two sisters, Belva and Marie. She is survived by a son, Mark Cary, and a daughter, Peggy Ann, as well as a son-in-law, Patrick. She also leaved behind a large family of five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Ella, and numerous nieces and nephews.
