Brant Lake: Scott E. Holland, 54, of Tannery Road, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, May 11, 2019 following a long illness. Born July 20, 1964 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late David “Bear” and Rita (Frasier) Holland. He was a lifelong resident of the area and spent many years working for Riverside Gas & Oil as a burner specialist and later as a truck driver. Most recently, Scott worked for the Town of Horicon highway department until his retirement in 2016. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Patrick Smith and step-son, Michael “Boog Shug” Clement. He is survived by his fiancée, Alberta “Birdie” Hopkins of Chestertown, his former wife, Bambi Castro and her son, Joshua Clement; siblings, Dennis Holland and his wife, Nancidee of Schroon Lake, Susan Holland-Smith of Schuylerville, and Nedra Frasier and her husband, John of Chestertown. He is also survived by his beloved fur baby, devoted companion and best friend, Mr. J; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Scott’s family from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 7 pm, at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Cadwallader, Pastor of the Faith Bible Church in Chestertown, officiating. Scott’s earthly remains will be interred in Underwood Cemetery at 11 am, Thursday. A reception will conclude the burial at 12 pm, Thursday, at the Faith Bible Church, 4 Hayes Rd., Chestertown.
