Obituary of Brunhilda L. Bills

Thurman: Brunhilda L. “Bunny” Bills, formerly of Bowen Hill Rd., passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Bunny had been living at Elderwood Nursing Home in North Creek for several years. Brunhilda Lucille Goebel “Bunny” was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 11, 1928. She was raised by her aunts and uncle. She graduated from high school in Brooklyn in 1946 and worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company. She met William “Billy” Bills while on an Adirondack vacation at Sky Hi Ranch in Thurman, New York. They married on December 6, 1949 in Athol, NY. Bunny worked for the Election Board and as the town collector in Thurman. She also worked for the late Art Brown at Brown’s Shoe Store in Warrensburg for many years. Bunny was preceded in death by her aunts Mitzi and Jenny, her uncle Kaiser and her husband Billy. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel (Thurman, NY) and Linda (Valley City, ND), grand children Amanda (Greg) Brown, Morgan Bills (Glen Falls), Chelsea (Tyler) Modlin (Valley City, ND), Charity Schmidt (Mandan, ND) and seven great grandchildren. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Bunny will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Reynolds Cemetery, Thurman in the spring.
