Obituary of David A. Dimick

Minerva: David Allen Dimick, 48, of Route 28N, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 19, 1960 in Johnsburg, he was the son of Gordon Dimick of Minerva, and the late Maxine (Wissell) Dimick. David was a dedicated employee at Bartons Mines, where he worked as a foreman for 12 years. He was a kind loving soul who enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars and "tinkering." David is predceased by his grandparents, Earl and Edith Dimick; His Uncle, Harold Dimick; and his sister, Carla Christmas. Besides his father, Gordon, David is also survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Patricia Harris-Dimick; his daughters: Nichole Green and her husband, Patrick Mullen of Chestertown; Kylie “Bug” Dimick of Minerva; son Bryan Harris of Minerva; brother, Alfred Dimick of Texas; and his sister, Belle Dimick of Texas; his four grandchildren: Alex, Madison, Hunter and Aedan of Chestertown; along with several brother and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. At David’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. A benefit in David's honor will be held from 4 to 7 pm, Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Minerva Volunteer Fire Department. Donations may be made to the Community Bank in North Creek toward a college fund for his daughter, Kylie Dimick or to the organization of one's choice.
