Warrensburg:
Charles E. “Charlie” Webster, 69 of Summit Street, passed away peacefully, Tuesday May 8, 2018 at his home.
Born August 29 1948 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Marcus and Pearl (Denton) Webster.
Charlie opted out of high school to serve his country with the United States Army, proudly serving during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, he came back home to be with his family, and then re- enlisted in the army and was stationed in Germany, accompanied by his new wife Janine, and while in Germany his family grew with the additions of his son Chip and daughter Renee.
Upon his return to Warrensburg he enjoyed his life. He worked various jobs through the years including Professional Auto for over twenty years and Warren Ford until his retirement.
In his later years he met and married his wife Cathy. They enjoyed many years of love and laughter and made many memories to last a lifetime.
He will be remembered for his coy sense of humor and boyish smile. He enjoyed being outdoors and had a love for fishing and camping, especially with his son Chip. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends on the weekends. He was a kind gentle soul that always had a song to sing and will be missed by many. There was not a harsh word to be said about him. He enjoyed his family and friends and loved to sit by the camp fire or he could be found sitting at his picnic table on his patio enjoying the sun. On these occasions you would find an ice cold beer in his hand.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Henry Webster (Betty), Marlin Webster (Chalcie), Wesley Webster (Ann), Douglas Webster (Mary), and Conroy Webster (Grace); his sisters Althea Fish(Owen) and Sylvia Moffit.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Cathy Webster, his son Charles Webster and daughter in law Stacey; his granddaughter, Moriah Amadeo Webster; his daughter, Renee Webster and granddaughter, Katelyn Roberts; the mother of his children, Janine Baird; step children, Melissa Vernum and Ethan Vernum (Aleisha); his brother, Delbert Webster (Joan); sisters, Linda Bennet (Frank), Nancy Belden (Carl), Martha Kilburn (Ralph Eastman), Debbie Stevens, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
