Obituary of Eva M. Hastings

Lake George: Eva M. Hastings, 76, of Hendrick Street, passed away, Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the Westmount Health Facility in Queensbury. Born May 12, 1930 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Bertha (Clementsen) Reinertsen. Eva married Arthur W. Hastings on April 29, 1952 in Northport, Long Island. The couple resided in Fresh Meadows, Queens and began raising their family in Huntington Station. She worked as a legal secretary on Wall St. for many years before moving to Lake George in 1962. She continued working in the brokerage field at the Hayden Stone Securities Co. in Glens Falls. Besides her parents, her daughter, Gail passed away in 1968 and her four brothers have also predeceased her. Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Arthur W. Hastings of Lake George; her daughter, Linda Frischknecht and her husband, Wade of Salt Lake City, Utah; her son, Larry Hastings of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Dorothy Weeks of Bradenton, Fl; Elsa Oertar of Seminole, Fl; four grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah and Jacob Frischknecht, and Andrew Hastings; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 10 am Tuesday in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Warrensburg. Mrs. Hastings requested there be no calling hours scheduled. Memorials may take the form of donations to the Lake George Vol. Emergency Medical Services, Lake George, NY 12845.
