We would like to offer our deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one. Tom was a strong yet caring individual and the respect he was given by all who knew him was indescribable. I remember the first time I had met Mr. McConnel, it was when my sister Lynne was getting married to Tom, he and Stubs had come to Connecticut for the wedding. During our many conversations I always got the feeling that Tom understood and generally cared about what was going on in my life, no matter how crazy it had become at times. When talking with Tom & Lynne during his illness I was always amazed at how strong willed he remained all through the many different treatment strategies. Mr. McConnell will be missed by all.

As the Irish say, "To know him was to love him..."
Whenever my husband and I attended St James Church for Sunday Mass, Tom McConnell would reach out and place his hand firmly on my shoulder as he returned to his seat after receiving communion.. That kind gesture always brought tears to my eyes..
Tom McConnell was a man of true devotion......to his family, his town, his country and his church..
John Ordway and the rest of the North Creek gang must have been absolutely thrilled to see Tom arrive at the gates of heaven!!

Your family has always been a big part of joyous memories I have of growing up in North Creek and the wonderful lives we had in that precious little town.......I feel lucky to have 'hung out' at your house and across the road at the LaPells where we had such great times and so many laughs.
