Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

WARRENSBURG: Robert G. 'Bob' Griffin, 91, of Warrensburg, NY, passed away on January 20, 2025, at Albany Medical Center after sustaining injuries in a motor vehicle accident.

Bob was born at home on October 7, 1933, to the late Paul and Irene (Bennett) Griffin. He attended Warrensburg Central School before leaving to join the Navy Reserves. While in the Reserves, Bob made the decision to enlist in the Navy, where he served in the Seabee unit.

After returning to Warrensburg, Bob began working at Bruce Buick in Queensbury, where he eventually became the service manager for many years. Over 50 years ago, Bob founded Bob Griffin and Sons Garage in Warrensburg, NY. Even after retirement, Bob continued to show up every day from 8 AM to 5 PM, running errands for parts and offering assistance whenever needed. He married the love of his life, Edrie Baker, on September 15, 1956, and she worked alongside him at the garage for many years.

When he wasn’t at the garage, which was rare, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an active member of the Lion’s Club.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, as well as his siblings Caroline Langworthy, Dick Griffin, Cappy Griffin, and Dwayne Griffin, and his daughter-in-law, Kathryn Griffin.

Left to remember Bob is his beloved wife of 68 years Edrie Griffin; children Robert A. Griffin, Richard Griffin and Melissa Griffin; grandchildren Lindsay (Chris) Kratzer, Ryan Griffin and Alex Griffin and his fiancé Melissa Longendyke; two great grandchildren Colton and Weston Kratzer and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob's name may be made to: Warrensburg Fire Company, PO Box 371, Warrensburg, NY 12885 or Warrensburg Emergency Medical Service, PO Box 157, Warrensburg, NY 12885.

Services for Bob will be announced at a later date in the spring.
