Please share a memory of Jude to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

RALEIGH: Jude Lawrence Shepard, 69 years young, formally of Warrensburg, NY passed away on December 1, 2024 with his loving family by his side in Raleigh, NC.

Jude entered this world on March 9, 1955, as the beloved son of the late William and Rosemary (Poliquin) Shepard. He grew up in Troy, NY, and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1973. Following high school, he attended Hudson Valley Community College.

At the age of 16, during his high school years, Jude met Laureen Capuano, who would later become the love of his life and wife. The two were married in Troy, NY, on September 30, 1977, and shared 47 wonderful years together.

After completing his studies at Hudson Valley, Jude began a distinguished 33-year career with Niagara Mohawk, now known as National Grid, starting in 1977 as an electrical lineman.

In 1986, Jude and Laureen, along with their two sons, Ryan and Graig, relocated to Warrensburg, NY, where they lived until 2015. Drawn by the warmth and sunshine, Jude and Laureen moved to Palm Coast, FL, in 2015. A few years later, they settled in North Carolina, where they made their home.

In 2020, he and Laureen embraced life as full-time RVers, exploring the beauty of the country together. By 2022, they began spending their summers back in Warrensburg, working, living, and forming cherished friendships at Lake George Escape, while wintering in North Carolina.

Jude also treasured time spent with family and friends, creating memories that meant the world to him. Of all the places he traveled, his greatest passion was being on his boat, surrounded by the natural beauty of his beloved Lake George.

Besides his parents, Jude is predeceased by his brother James Shepard and sister Susan (Shepard) Hart.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Laureen Shepard; sons Ryan M. Shepard and his wife Marisa (Glatzer) Shepard and Graig W. Shepard and his wife Jessica (Atilho) Shepard; brother William E. Shepard and five grandchildren Ethan, George, Nicholas, Gavin and Morgan Shepard.
