I met Richard "Dick" Virgil several years ago. What struck me most was his great smile and warm handshake. Dick was a gentleman. He was easy to talk to and had interesting stories of growing up in Johnsburg. Dick made me feel right at home whenever I visited his home. His home and backyard have a beautiful view of the mountains. Dick was a man who loved the Adirondack Mountain region and appreciated God's handiwork in the creation
of the mountains, forests, lakes, rivers and the overall beauty of the earth. Dick was a faithful member of the Sodom Community Church. Whenever I attended worship services there, before he was home bound, due to illness, I could look over and see Dick singing hymns and being a part of the services. Dick's presence will be greatly missed. I have the assurance, based on the promises of God's word, The Bible, and Dick's faith in Jesus Christ, as his Lord and Savoir, that Dick is in the presence of his Lord, in Heaven.
