Obituary of Randy W. Green

OLMSTEDVILLE:  Randy W. Green, 69 years old of Olmstedville, NY passed away surrounded by loving family On July 17, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.

Randy was born on February 8, 1955 in Ticonderoga, NY to the late William and Joan (Gonyo) Green. Randy left high school to join the United States Army.  Once discharged from the Army, he went directly into the workforce as a chef in restaurants throughout California. He cooked at B&J’s Family Restaurant in Pomona, CA for 30 years where he met the love of his life, Robin Oakley. Randy and Robin were married on February 13, 1999.

In 2014, Randy and Robin moved back to Olmstedville to be closer to family. Randy began cooking at Garnet Hill Ski Lodge in which he was still working up until his passing.  When not working, Randy enjoyed going to breakfast with his brothers at Marsha’s restaurant in North Creek.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Randy is predeceased by his sister Patty Harris.

Left to cherish Randy’s memory are his wife Robing Green; children Randy Green Jr. and Taylor (James) Allen; grandchildren Landon and Dalton Allen; brothers Jack (Dawn) Green, Douglas (Lynn) Green and Tim Green; sisters Bonnie (Jeff) Barnett and Cyndy (Bruce) Hammond; stepfather John Walker and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
