Ernie had a lot of nicknames over the years. Some earned, some acquired and some self created.
I referred to him as my brother first and foremost and, also called him "Pete" It dawns on me that I really don't know why "Pete."
Pete was a typical big brother. Often using me to tag along with him so he wouldn't get in trouble. Many a year we were caught sneaking downstairs to look over the loot on Christmas morning... way too early. Always my fault of course.
I will hold onto the memories, the lessons and the "Peteisms" from over the years until I see you again.
