My thoughts are with all of your family. I remember getting mail from Joan but my most fond memories are all my summer days babysitting Mahra and Chris as a younger teen and having Joan and Leo come check on us through the day. She was a kind lady, with a kind soul who touched so many.
My thought and prayers are with you all,
Heather Hitchcock Johnston

The paths of some families crisscross in time for short periods but I can't remember a stage of my life which didn't include the Reynolds family. Some of my earliest childhood memories include going to get the mail and being greeted by Joan. She was a model human being who married a model human being and who raised her kids in the same way. The whole Reynolds family makes me proud of my Prouty blood. Sending much love at this difficult time.

Dear Leo and family, as Mahra’s sister-in-law (Bryan’s sister), I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Joan at various celebratory events, such as graduation parties, their wedding, and Mahra’s baby shower. It’s so clear to see that she’s such a warm and wonderful woman. I always have looked forward to seeing a friendly face at these extended family events, and have loved the stories Mahra and Bryan have shared with us. It’s evident that she’s touched the lives of so many, and people are better to have known her.

Leo, I am so very sorry for yours and your family's loss. Joan was such a lovely woman -- so warm and welcoming, and made us feel so grateful that Bryan was marrying into such a loving family. I will never forget how she welcomed us into her home and made our visits so special. On one particular occasion, I remember attending a baby shower where I didn't know anyone well. I quickly stole a seat next to Joan because with her, the conversation was always easy and she always made me feel comfortable and at ease. John and I are so happy that our families have come together through Bryan and Mahra. Joan's passing will truly leave a hole in our hearts.

As we remember Joan, I would like to thank her tremendously for everything she contributed to helping Mahra evolve into the amazingly smart, thoughtful, and beautiful woman / wife / mother she is today!
I know Joan's spirit will always be remembered in so many peoples' lives she has touched, and I am grateful to have been able to get to know her and Leo. Hearing of the family history has been a joy to hear through the past dozen years.
She lit up any space she entered and may her family find peace in knowing she is still watching over them. May all of God's blessings be bestowed upon Joan.

Aunt Joan will be sadly missed by so many people. We shared so many family celebrations together which is time cherished for sure and always brings on a longing for Aunt Joan's fruit salad! I think I could have eaten the whole (huge) bowl had I been allowed! I hope you're resting easy now knowing that you've shared so much with everyone.

So sorry for the loss of Joan Reynolds. She was an amazing woman with quite the personality. As Joan would tell you she has known me since I was knee high to a grasshopper. My sincere condolences to Leo and Joan's family. She was a friend, colleague and fellow genealogist. She was a great resource for anyone researching their Johnsburg roots. I will miss our visits and conversations. Prayers for comfort for her family.
