Thurman:

Harry M. Alger, 82, of Bowen Hill Road, passed away peacefully into the arms of the lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his home.

Born July 12, 1941 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Hunt) Alger.

He could always be found lending a helping hand to his friends and neighbors and he even delivered for Meals on Wheels for several years. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and being the ultimate grandpa. He was a wealth of knowledge about hunting, camping and always had the best stories to share.

He was a very devoted Christian and always anticipated his journey to heaven.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Nancy (Graves) Alger; a son, David Alger; daughter, Donna Hayes; brothers, Kenneth, and James Alger; and sisters, Clara Marks and Edna LaBarge.
