Obituary of Aileen P. Baker

Athol: Aileen Patsy Baker, 62, of Bear Pond Road, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital due to complications from surgery. Born November 29, 1954 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Dorothy (Keene) Bruno. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Warrensburg Central School. She married Kerry L. Baker on April 23, 1977. The couple just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Aileen began her employment with McDonalds in Warrensburg in 1987, where she remained for 27 years, retiring as a manager in 2014. She will be remembered for her friendly and polite way of conversing with customers and friends. Her favorite pastimes included spending with her family, shopping and traveling. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kerry Baker, of Thurman; sons, Brad Baker and his wife, Stephanie, of Chestertown, and Mathew Baker and his wife, Eliza, of Warrensburg; one granddaughter, Sophia; siblings, Suzanne Scroggins and her husband, Dave, of Warrensburg, Sharon Harvey of Chestertown, David Bruno and his wife, Judy, of MA. She also leaves behind several extended family members and friends. Friends may call on Aileen’s family from 4 to 6 pm Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Alexander Funeral Home, Inc., 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A memorial service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation, at 6 pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
