Obituary of Daniel Oley VanDerwarker
ATHOL: Daniel O. VanDerwarker, 76, of Athol, NY, son of the late Josh and Carol (Dutcher) VanDerwarker, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 14, 2023.
Dan was born on September 10, 1946 in Chestertown, NY. Throughout Dan’s life he worked in grounds and maintenance performing various duties at O’Connor’s Resort, Hudson Headwaters Health Network and North Country Janitorial where he retired from. Dan enjoyed being outside but most of all he loved animals especially his dogs, Snoopy and Little Benji and his two cats Booters and Baby Girl.
Besides his parents, Dan is predeceased by his stepdaughter Mandy Burch.
Surviving Dan is his loving wife Linda (Green) VanDerwarker; stepchildren Nick (Lisa) Connor, Grace Connor, Halsey (Penny) Smith, Linda (Patrick) Habshi and Kristopher Burch; sister Cheyrll (Jim) Bonds; nephew David VanDerwarker and his wife; niece Carol Lee and her husband and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life will take place this spring.
