Obituary of Stacey Jeanne Lee

Stacey J. Lee January 31, 1974 – February 28, 2022 Stacey J. Lee, 48, of Malta, passed away peacefully on February 28th while surrounded by family. Born Stacey Jeanne Hayes on January 31, 1974 to John and Sharon Hayes of Ballston Spa, Stacey was a lifelong resident of the area. Stacey was the proud and loving mother of 5 beautiful daughters; Brianda Hayes of Malta, Lyndsey, Sophia and Emilia Lee of Ballston Spa and Charlie Legnard of Stillwater. Stacey was also a loving grandmother to Myla Bennett of Malta. Stacey’s children and grandchild amazed her every day and were her world. Stacey loved adventures, seeking out waterfalls and sunsets all over New York State, and she treasured her time at her family’s camp in North River. Stacey was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Jesse and Elizabeth Hayes and maternal grandparents Howard and Elizabeth Hitchcock. In addition to her parents, daughters and granddaughter, Stacey is survived by her sister Julie Bresonis (Patrick) of Amsterdam, NY and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends who will cherish their time and memories with Stacey. Stacey’s family would like to express their profound gratitude to the compassionate and special staff at the Gateway House of Peace in Ballston Spa who made Stacey’s last days comfortable and peaceful. In lieu of flowers, Stacey’s family requests that donations be made to the Gateway House of Peace, 479 Rowland Street, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. It was Stacey’s desire that there be no services or calling hours. A private celebration of Stacey’s life will take place “Up North” later in the Spring.
