Obituary of Edgar J. Tanguay

Edgar J. Tanguay, 89, formally of River Street, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Glens Falls Hospital, following a long illness He was born on March 25, 1916 in Cannan, Vt. and was the son of the late Theophile and Florida Pare Tanguay. He was raised in Canada. Mr. Tanguay was employed as a carpenter with Adirondack Forestry until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his 4-wheeler. Edgar married Nellie Hall his wife and best friend for over 60 years, although Edgar and Nellie never had children they nurtured and raised Charles “Chuck” Coonradt Jr. Besides his wife he is survived by his niece and caregiver Joyce Adams of Bloomfield, CT., a sister Viola Tanguay of Canada, a brother Armel Tanguay of Mass., and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 26, from 10:30 until 11:30am at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg, where a funeral service will follow at 11:30am with the Rev. Richard Leonard, pastor of the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in the Warrensburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warrensburg Free Methodist Church, 250 River St., Warrensburg, NY 12885 or to a charity of one’s choice.
