Edwin Paul Heideman, 85, of Lake Shore Dr., passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 19, 2017, at his daughter’s residence in Johnsburg.
Born in White Plains in 1932, he was the son of the late Ernest and Vera (Norton) Heideman.
He was a dedicated high school science teacher at Pleasantville High School for 30 years. He worked as an adjunct professor at several local colleges and particularly enjoyed his work providing science enrichment workshops for elementary school children and teachers.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Norton Heideman, and his son-in-law, Richard Zizza.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marilyn Heideman, and daughters, Cathy, Judy, and Patty, their husbands, Jamie Thackaberry, and Joe McCormick, as well as many well-loved nieces and nephews.
At Ed’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Holy Innocents Church, 431 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville.
