Paul, Amy and Sara,
Beautiful vivacious Connie. Yes, I looked it up to be sure and it speaks of her. Bubbly, vibrant, happy-go-lucky and more. I had the pleasure and very good fortune to meet Connie at Burnham’s in Minerva, NY in 1964 (or maybe ‘65). We immediately “clicked” and became the best of friends. Not long after, we became roommates and had the best times. Along with another friend we went to Bermuda and had a blast. She came with me to my Mom’s in North Creek many times to ski and, in the Spring, enjoy the White Water Derby and all the shenanigans at Basil and Wick’s. My Mom and family loved her, but that was just Connie. What’s not to love.
All to soon for me (I wasn’t done partying) she met Paul, fell in love, got married and moved to Plattsburgh. I missed all the fun we had but she was on to the next chapter of her life. Amy and Sara, she loved you more than anything and strived to be the best Mother ever. How her face lit up when she spoke about you. I can only imagine her as a Grandmother!
I have been reminiscing since Paul called and told me of her passing. How lucky you three were to call her your wife and Mom. Rest In Peace beautiful Connie.

Dear Paul, Sara, Amy and Luke,
As you know Connie's passing is such a huge loss not only to your family but to those of us blessed by her friendship. Connie was such a loving member of the Class of 1964. She and her sweet mother, Nellie, gave us such wonderful parties and happy memories of growing up in Schroon Lake. Connie loved our class and worked hard (enlisting the help of her two amazing daughters) to make our reunions as much fun as our school days. Connie knew the names of all our K-12 teachers and she may have known who wrote the Class of '64 on a certain wall.
Nellie used to have cookies and milk for us after school as we watched 3 soap operas from 4:00-5:00 pm-The Guiding Light (15 minutes), the Secret Storm (15 minutes) and the best soap opera of all time, The Edge of Night (30 minutes). When the producers killed off our favorite character named Sara, Connie wanted to start a national petition called " Bring Sara Back".
Thank you, Paul, Sara and Amy for sharing your loving memories with us.
Connie was fun, beautiful and filled with love. I bet Connie is looking down at us and saying cry for awhile and then remember me with smiles.
Love you Connie,
Marcella

Dear The DuCuennois Family, I am truly sorry with regard to the loss of your mom. She was a very special woman and I know that she adored her family and she was adored by all. She did an exceptional job raising her daughters and taking care of her family. What a beautiful life she lived. We were blessed to know her and she shared so many memories with our mom, Lois. May you find peace and comfort as you grieve. Your family is in our thoughts and your mom will be deeply missed. All our love, The Miller Family

I was so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. I was fortunate enough to have grown up with Connie. We were in class together for our entire time a SLCS. She was a very thoughtful and fun loving person--a pleasure to be around. I happen to have one of her class pictures. (I'm not sure which grade).

Connie was every school boys dream, the all American girl.
At our 50th class reunion Connie reminded us just how lucky we were. We were born at just the right time, we were born in just the right place and we all grew up together."
We will miss Connie but we have wonderful memories.

Who knew when we met at Cooper City Elementary that our lives would be forever intertwined? My sons, currently ages 25 and 23, were merely young children, the oldest was 5 when we met; two years later, his younger brother would join the Cooper City Elementary family. Seeing your smiling face and feeling your warm and welcoming energy made visiting the front office at Cooper City Elementary a joy, even if I was there for a less than joyous teacher meeting or some mundane administrative task. A few years later, my wife Angela would join the teaching staff and now another connection was made between us. Nearly 15 after our initial encounter, I'd meet your daughter Sara, who has proven to be one of my most valued dear friends in life. It's through Sara, your other daughter Amy, your husband who I haven't met but look fwd to, the bundle of joy that is your grandson Luke, and through that sweet-soul energy both Rocky and Boris generate, that I will remain connected to you Mrs. DuCuennois. May you rest in peace while your soul rejoices in heaven. My condolences to your family. Sincerely, Alberto Padron and the Padron Family
