Obituary of Lillian M. LaFountain

Lake George Lillian M. LaFountain, 81, of Route 9N, passed away Thursday, August 09, 2007 at Glens Falls Hospital, following a long illness. Born on July 22, 1926, in Whitehall, she was a daughter of Percy and Florence (Hammond) McNaughton. She married Harold Frank LaFountain on February 28, 1945 in Poultney, Vt. The couple resided in Vermont and Rensselaer County, before moving to Lake George in the early 1950’s, Harold passed away on July 15, 1999 after 54 years of marriage. Lillian was employed as a Capacitor Technician for General Electric in Ft. Edward for many years. She enjoyed her family and liked watching her sons perform in local rodeo’s. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Percy and Mac and sisters Carol and Mary. Lillian is survived by five sons, Harold F. LaFountain, Jr., of Lake George, Richard G. LaFountain and his wife, Judy of Castleton, Elton A. LaFountain and his wife, Linda of Lake Luzerne, Eric M. LaFountain and his wife, Patty of Thurman, and Jeffrey S. LaFountain of Lake George; eleven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Hitchcock and her husband, Collins of Kingsbury, sister-in-law, Lorraine Adam of Ballston Lake and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 10 - 11am at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
