James H. Flynn, 73, of Igerna Road, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home in his sleep.
Born April 18, 1944 in Ticonderoga, he was the son of Viola (LaPrairie) Flynn and the late William Flynn.
Jim was employed for many years at R.J. Sweet Lumber Company in Warrensburg.
Besides his father, he is predeceased by his brother, William Flynn.
He is survived by his loving companion of 34 years, Brenda Hayes of Chestertown; children, Erin Flynn, Jamie Flynn and Joshua Hayes; eight grandchildren; brother, Robert Flynn, half-brother, Vern Fish and step-siblings, Alan Fish and Frankie Ann, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Jim’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 11 am, Friday, November 24, 2017 in Griswold Cemetery, Pottersville.
A reception will follow at Dynamite Hill in Chestertown. Family and friends are encouraged to bring a memory and a covered dish.
