Obituary of Yolanda M. Frasl

Fort Ann: Yolanda M. Frasl, 62, of Hadlock Pond Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, April 18, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born May 3, 1946 in Lake George, she was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Prosser) Matheson. She graduated from the Lake George High School and went on to earn an Associates degree from Adirondack Community College. Yolanda married Michael H. Frasl on July 22, 1971 in Lake George. The couple raised their family south of Albany. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, while residing in the capital district. She spent many years with Farm Family and as a claims adjuster for United Health Care of Albany. She and her husband retired to Hadlock Pond with their cherished dog, Daisy and became members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glens Falls. Yolanda was also a member of the Church Ladies Society. Yolanda’s favorite enjoyments included gardening and spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren play little league baseball. She truly loved her family and lived life to the fullest. Besides her parents, her two brothers, Arnold and Barry Converse have also predeceased her. She leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Michael of Fort Ann; her three children, Kimberly Zeoli and her husband, Charles Jr. of Ravena, John Frasl and his wife, Jessica of Waterford, Tammi Socha and her husband, David of Glenmont; step children, Michael Frasl of Saratoga Springs, Jenna White of Amsterdam; grandchildren, Conner, Chad, Mitchell, Katelyn, Lucas, Chris, Wesley, Beth and Josh; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Yolanda’s family from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A service to celebrate her life will be conducted 10 am Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Wagner, Pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Glens Falls officiating. Burial will follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Washington County Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to Washington Co. Hospice, St. Peter’s Hospital/Hospice, and the staff at the Good Samaritan in Delmar.
