Obituary of Brad R. Ashdown

SARATOGA SPRINGS: Bradford “Brad” Reed Ashdown, 56, of Edie Road passed away Saturday, May 20th, 2006 at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Born March 23, 1950 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary (Schauber) Ashdown. Brad was a well known Harley Davidson motorcycle mechanic throughout the area for many years. He was a 1968 graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School. Brad served in the US Navy during Vietnam. On April 27,1984, Brad married Sheri Haseltine in Echo Bay. Besides his wife of 22 years, he is also survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Eldridge and his wife, Tracey of Findlay, Ohio, Jason Eldridge of Glens Falls; his granddaughter, Ashlee Lyn Eldridge of Ohio; his sisters, Andrea Weening and her husband Walt of Berkley Heights NJ, Lynne Hoar and her husband Carl of West Falmouth, MA; his mother in law, Joan Haseltine of Glens Falls; his brother and sister in law Gary & Betty Haseltine of South Glens Falls; his brother in law, Kerry Haseltine of Glens Falls and several nieces and nephews. At Brad's request there will be a celebration of his life on Thursday, May 25th from 4-8 at their home at 126 Edie Road, Saratoga Springs.
