Obituary of Kenneth C. Russell

Chestertown: Kenneth C. Russell, 59, of Schroon River Road, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital following complications with hip surgery. Born February 27, 1959 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ellen (Yennard) Russell. He married Constance M. Norton on November 23, 1977. Ken Worked as a Custodian at North Warren Central School retiring after 19 years. He then helped many local families working for O. J.’s Appliances. He was a hardworking man and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Besides spending time with his family, he enjoyed the outdoors and his animals, giving many horseback, wagon, and sleigh rides to his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, trapping, and garage sales. He had an amazing sense of humor and he loved to be foolish at times. Ken will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy Morehouse, Howard Russell, Juanita Sweet, and Dennis Russell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Connie Russell of Chestertown; three children, Dainyell Rogers and her husband, Tim of Poultney, VY, Shallon Bougor of Schroon Lake, and Kenny Russell and his wife, Heidi of Blue Mountain Lake; eight grandchildren, Kadense, Drezden, Jayde, Foxx, and Hermione Russell, Aryana Bougor, and Jiy and Jazz Rogers; five siblings, Robert Russell and his wife, Irma of Sodom, Ted Russell and his wife, Bonnie of Northville, Darlene Russell of Warrensburg, Jimmy Russell of Lake George, and Roseatta Van Nostrand of Bakers Mills; two aunts, Rosie Russell of North Creek and Darla Yennard of Gloversville; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
