Obituary of Florence A. Perry

Warrensburg: Florence A. “Tiney” Perry, 76, of Summit Street, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving husband on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born December 1, 1941 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Miza (Harrington) Hoag. She attended Hudson Falls Central School and was a lifelong resident of the area. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed scratch off tickets, bingo, traveling to the casino with her husband, and her 8 beloved cats. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a son, Earl Hobbs, Jr., a sister Miza Barnes, and brother, Marvin Hoag. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Duane Perry of Warrensburg; her children, Dale Perry and his wife, Gigi of Warrensburg, Tina LaPell and her husband, Pete of Warrensburg, and Carole Ross and her husband, Darren of Queensbury; sisters, Marion Evans and her husband, Walter, Kathleen Andrews and her husband, Morris; brother-in-law, Jerry Perry and his partner Patty Bartlett; as well as seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call on Florence’s family from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate her life will immediately follow the visitation at 1 pm, at the funeral home with Fr. Thomas Pettigrew, officiating. Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery.
