Born March 28, 1922 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia V. (Potter) Bennett, and was the fifth of 10 children, with one brother and eight sisters.
Peggy was the devoted wife of 60 years to the late Forrest “Bud” Olden, Jr. The couple enjoyed traveling around the world and wintering in Lantana, Florida.

She was co-proprietor of Stones Grocery and Hardware Store, and retired in 1977 from Curtis Cash and Carry as a clerk. Peggy adored the Town of Warrensburg and enjoyed many a day picnicking on the Schroon River with family, and afternoon car rides, reminiscing about “the good old days”.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two children, Vera L. Bishop and Stewart B. Olden.
She is survived by a daughter, Vivian L. Wood and her husband, Roger, Coxsackie; was the beloved grandmother to five grandchildren, Richard S. (Jane) Bishop, Tricia A. (Mike) Hardy, Christopher J. Bishop, Jody L. Schultze, and Roger M. (Stephanie) Wood; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica, Brian, Corey, Shannon, Kyle, Kortney, Maxwell, and Reidun; sister, Mildred Johnson of Warrensburg.
