I am are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My mother (Carol) treasured their friendship when she lived in Warrensburg and told me that they had a wonderful phone visit over the holidays. We have some wonderful memories of Gert and hope you find comfort in knowing she is at peace.
When we returned to Warrensburg, Gert always made us welcome at Engles Department Store. She was an expert at sizes and our girls usually ended up with the necessities they wanted that fit. What a great worker and with a personality that made everyone welcome! May she find the peace she so richly deserved.
