Obituary of Ruth L. Wissell

North Creek: Ruth L. Wisell, 96, of Igerna Road, went into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Born August 12, 1918 in Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Fayette and Minnie Cole. Besides spending time with her family, that she loved her with all her heart, Ruth enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but most of all, going for rides with her family. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by a son-in-law, Lyndon Gadway, and granddaughter, Leah Gadway. She is survived by her daughters, Josie Gadway, Laura Colburn and her husband, Gary, Sheila Washburn and her husband, Rick, and Judy Bell and her husband, Lindsey; a son, Leslie Wisell and his wife, Audrie; Ruth also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends and extended family. At Ruth’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled. Ruth’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all of those who helped care for her throughout the years, especially Tammy Leinhard and the nurses at Glens Falls Hospital.
