Obituary of Karen E. Robertson

Please share a memory of Karen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lake George: Karen Binkunski Robertson, 47, of Flat Rock Rd., passed away quietly in the night on December 22, 2010, at Glens Falls Hospital. Born July 20, 1963 in Westwood, NJ, she was the daughter of Linda Wittman and the late Joseph Binkunski. Karen grew up in Montvale, NJ, with her sister, Laura Binkunski, attending the Montvale Public Schools, later graduating from Pasack High School in 1981. Karen had sparkling blue eyes and a smile that could light up a room, though, it was often hard to earn; it was well worth it. She was known for being a hard worker, yet always knew when to put work aside to enjoy her time with family and friends. She leaves behind the two men most important to her, her beloved husband of 29 years, Charles Miles Robertson; and her son, Joseph Miles Robertson. Karen is also survived by an extended family that she deeply cherished; her step-father, Charles Ruthford; step-daughters, April and Christine Robertson; step-brothers, Martin and David Ruthford; in-laws, Hazel Robertson, Debbie and Richard Zuger, John and Uta Robertson, and Frederick Brown; along with her close friends, Anne Biancorrosso Schaefer, Ralph and Debbie D’Amico. She has left behind a deep love and fierce devotion to her family and friends. Karen loved picnicking with those near and dear to her, so in her memory, her loving husband, Charlie will be hosting a picnic, beginning at noon at their home in Lake George on Saturday, June 18, 2011.
