Obituary of Raymond M. Haskell

Raymond M. Haskell, 46, of Drexel Rd., passed away, Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Glens Falls Hospital following a long illness.
He was born in Guam on November 3, 1959, the son of the late Frank and Linda (Braley) Haskell.
Mr. Haskell is a graduate of Warrensburg High School class of 1977.
He was employed by for over 20 years at Gore Mountain Ski Center, where he was a snowmaker, groomer and mechanic. He also worked for VanPatten Homes as a carpenter and worked with Floyd Bombard Pool Service.
Ray was married to Melanie Winslow on June 7, 1980.
He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and maple sugaring. Ray also enjoyed farming and gardening. He also liked doing crafts, cooking, reading and traveling. Ray also enjoyed hiking, especially Crane Mt. and Round Pond.
Ray is survived by his wife Melanie Haskell; a son, Cory J. Haskell of Thurman; granddaughter, Leena Catherine Haskell; sisters, Frances Morrison of Gansevoort and Charlotte Brandt of Warrensburg; brothers, Charles Haskell and Donald Haskell and his wife Hilda, both of Thurman; three aunts, Iva Hall, Iona Hall and Louise Lindheimer; one uncle, Edwin "Pete" Braley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday, May 4, at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg with the Rev. Robert Herrmann, pastor of the Thurman Baptist Church
Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the memorial service Thursday at the funeral home.
