Obituary of Florence J. Infantino

HUDSON FALLS: Florence J. Infantino, 94, of Hudson Falls died peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Albany Medical Center. Florence was born on March 10, 1924, in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of the late James Stausoff and the late Katie Aladich. She graduated from Granite City High School in 1942. Florence earned her diploma from the Saint Louis City Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 and worked as a Registered Nurse for almost 40 years. Her family, patriotism, music, art, travel, books and good food were among the passions of her life. Florence was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Mary and Dorothy, and her ex-husband, Anthony J. Infantino. She is survived by many who loved her dearly, including: her daughter, Suzanne; son, Michael and his wife, Jane; grandson Benjamin and his wife, Sarah; grandson Arthur; great-grandchildren Elena and Nicholas; her sister, Laurestine Chouinard, and her daughter, Lynda; and her many friends. At Florence’s request, there are no calling hours scheduled. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 12:30 p.m., at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 62 Warren Street, Glens Falls. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls. Those who wish to make a contribution in Florence’s memory, may do so to the American Cancer Society.
