Arthur Morehouse, 53, of Grand Avenue, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at his home with his family by his side, following a courageous seven year battle with cancer.
Born September 12, 1965 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Cassius “Bucky” and Gertrude E. (Frasier) Morehouse, of Warrensburg.
Besides his mother, he is predeceased by his brother, Walter F. Morehouse, a sister, Norma Jean Morehouse. His maternal grandparents, Arnold and Elizabeth Frasier and Paternal grandfather, Cassius Morehouse.
Arthur is survived by his father, Cassius “Bucky” Morehouse, daughters, Brittany, Kirby, Ashleigh Bobbett, of Virginia and Jessica Morehouse of Pottersville. Sisters, Tracy (Gordon) Graves of Schroon Lake, Tammy (Bob) Morehouse, Wendy (Dave) Decker, both from Warrensburg, and Irene (Robert) Barody of Thurman. Grandchildren, Jonathon Bentley, Mckenzie, and Charlotte, all of Virginia, as well as several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thanks to Arts caregivers, Lisa Morton, Tammy Rounds, Aunt Rose, Uncle Roy, Nick, Tammy Moon, and Tina LaPell, all who came whenever we needed them. To everyone who came to visit, Joey Frasier, Gil Frasier, Sam Vernum, and neighbors, John and Peg, who always lent a helping hand. Also, Arts best friend, his father and daughter Jessica, who assisted him, every step of the way. We would like to also thank, Warren County Public Health, Dr. Smead, Ren from BHC and Dr. Stoutenburg and staff.
Art loved to travel, fish, kayak, cook, and football. He worked as a taxi driver, and for Warrensburg Car Care.
Friends may call on Art’s family from 3 to 4 pm, Monday, February 4, at the Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will immediately follow the visitation at 4 PM at the funeral home.
