Bob is and will be missed at Gore Mountain. He was always smiling, friendly and patient at the base of the Sunway Chair. As I have approached the lift all season 2017, I still picture his smile and friendly greeting each time even though he is not physically there, I know he is there in spirit. Marilyn Keis-Hartunian

Robert, Robert, Robert..what can ya say. A gem of a friend to many, always a smiling face and a hearty laugh. Never seen the man pissed, can easily say I'd never want to. Spent many a year with him as my second in command on Lift 3, and he assumed the helm after my departure. So many good memories of a great man, neighbor and friend! I so wish I could be there to say my final good byes in person but am out if state for the weekend. I am fortunate enough to had seen and spoken to him at Stephanies wake though.. again smiling and jovial, dispite his condition. A friend to the end I will raise a glass in your honor, my friend. Please love and light to your friends and family you left behind... keep a bar stool warm for us, we'll be there soon. Love ya man!

His Mom was a dear ,dear friend to my Gram Tump and our entire family. Rob was like a brother to me. I have many childhood memories of funny exchanges with him, and pictures in my mind of great times in town and at camp. His nickname for me was Silvia! Love to all of Rob's family and friends.

Mr. Johnson was a warm and jovial fellow - I enjoyed the little bit I got to know him. And Saundra, I am so glad the two of you got together. All my best wishes. I hope I can (someday) have as awesome an obituary. It says a lot about a life well lived.

Many beers ago my friend and coworker Artie White introduced me to Bob. We would visit him while skiing at Gore Mt. Afterward, we would hydrate together at one of the towns', no just one, pub. Bob always a gentleman, a great story teller, was my good fortune to know him.

What can I say, my heart goes out to Sandy, Kathie and Kristen. Bob was a wonderful man and I am going to miss him everyday. I so enjoyed talking sports with him over drinks at the Spider and hearing his hearty laugh. I will always remember him talking about his daughters and grand daughters and he always did it with a huge smile as he was so proud of everything and anything they did. Dan and I are thinking of you guys at this very painful time, but may you take comfort in knowing he will always be watching over you.
