Warrensburg:
Carmen A. Maciariello, 68, of James Street, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital with his loving family by his side
Born January 12, 1948 in Troy, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Raphael (Fusco) Maciariello. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Wanda Maciariello of Warrensburg, his children, Matthew Maciariello and his wife, Karen of Moreau, Michael Maciariello and his wife, Laura of Clifton Park, Wendy Maciariello of San Diego, CA, and Amy Anderson and her husband, Nic of South Burlington, VT; his grandchildren: Gabriel Maciariello, Addisyn Maciariello, Michael Maciariello, Jocelyn Maciariello, Brittany Low, Sage Anderson and Cora Anderson; two brothers, Joseph Maciariello of Claremont, CA and Lawrence Maciariello of Sarasota, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Having lost his father at a young age, Carmen was raised by his mother and large extended family in Mechanicville, NY. His brothers, Joe and Larry were a great influence on his childhood. He always spoke with great pride of his brothers' accomplishments in both their personal and professional lives.
Carmen, known by family and friends as “Pooch”, met the love of his life, Wanda, 47 years ago. They were married and lived in Schaghticoke where they began their family. Carmen worked at Jack Byrne Ford in Mechanicville. In 1982, he purchased Warren Ford Inc., and, soon thereafter, in 1983, he moved his young family to Warrensburg.
Carmen’s pride and joy was his family. You could always find Carmen and Wanda together cooking something wonderful for family and friends. He was very vocal about how blessed he felt. In recent years, Carmen and Wanda were able to spend time in Florida, where they met and were blessed by dear friends.
Carmen always placed his family first coupled with also running a successful business. As President of Warren Ford Inc., he enjoyed being part of Warrensburg assisting and participating in many charitable events to enhance the success of the community. It is certain Carmen leaves this world better than he found it and knowing this, he was proud.
