Kenneth F. Washburn, Sr., 61, of South Johnsburg Road, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital, with his loving family and friends by his side.
Born January 9, 19 54 in Ticonderoga, he was the son of the late Aussie and Verna (Russell) Washburn.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He worked for Fred Granger and Son, along with many others in the logging for several years, he also did masonry and construction.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Darlene (Russell) Washburn of Johnsburg; a son, Kenneth Washburn, Jr. of North Creek; daughters, Tara Cleveland of Johnsburg, and Trish Washburn and her companion, Keith McComsey of Wevertown; three grandchildren, Austin and Nicholas Washburn, and Andilyn Cleveland, all of Johnsburg; his siblings, Richard (Shelia) Washburn of Wevertown, Robert (Mary) Washburn of Bakers Mills, and Jane (Jarret) Brown of Wevertown. He also leaves behind several uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Mike Kinnarney and Joel Hitchcock.
At Kenny’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in Kenneth’s memory to the Johnsburg Fire Department.
